▪ DESCRIPTION

RESIDENTIAL MISSELA unfolds the idea of designing simple degrees of flexibility into a single building typology. Within the informed massing gesture, each unit adapts to its type’s specific requirements. The development consists of 4 private units and 8 rental units, all clustered in one block. By exploring simple massing manipulations, the design is able to respond to multiple functions, varying programmatic conditions, and environmental concerns. As a base massing logic, each floor responds to the two opposing directions of views and exposure. Programmatic requirements play a dominant role in the design of the interior spaces, while the conception of the exterior shell provides passive sun shading and privacy. Currently the project is back and active to deliver with a new shell and additional program and will break round in the last quarter of 2018.
